Since 2002, Finca Medina, has been a member of the National Association of Coffee and also member of the Antigua Coffee Producers Association. This last one was created to ensure the quality and origin of Antigua Coffee.
Medina Farms satisfies the standards for sustainable productions for the environment and has diverse initiatives directed towards the preservation of the rainforest. It also, supports diverse programs focused on the wellbeing of the families that live and work in the farm. This initiatives and the constant participation with the community has credited us with the following certifications:
Rainforest Alliance - Utz Certified
The certifications are for environmental and social standards, they aim for the conservation of the wildlife habitat, reforestation, recycling and waste management and reduction. The families in certified farms are benefited with better working conditions, environmental education, better households, fresh water and access to schools and healthcare.
One of the biggest sustainability programs in the world is Good Inside. Utz and now, his partner, Rainforest Alliance, certify one third of the coffee that is commercialized in a sustainable way worldwide.
Developed by the Coffee Quality Institute. It is a system of classification to evaluate the quality of gold coffee and it is known internationally. It is granted to the people that have been trained and qualified to taste any coffee under a standard normative of the SCA.
Developed by Starbucks and the target in this certification is to ensure that we are a company that is committed with the sustainable production.
